These terms apply when you buy from vellum.au. They sit alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which always apply.

vellum.au is run by Vellum Skincare, which sells VELLUM tattoo skincare. In these terms, “we”, “us” and “VELLUM” mean Vellum Skincare, and “you” means the person placing an order.

These terms cover orders placed on vellum.au. If you buy VELLUM on Amazon AU, Amazon’s terms apply to that order instead.

Prices

All prices are in Australian dollars (AUD) and include GST. The price you pay is the price shown at checkout when you place your order, plus shipping where it applies. Shipping is shown before you pay.

We may change prices at any time. A change doesn’t affect an order we have already accepted. If we notice a pricing error after you order, we’ll tell you before we dispatch. You can then choose to go ahead at the correct price, or cancel for a full refund.

Orders and acceptance

When you place an order, you’re offering to buy. We accept your order when we send you an order confirmation email. Until then, we can decline an order.

We might decline or cancel an order if a product is out of stock, if we can’t deliver to your address, or if we think there’s been an error or misuse. If that happens after you’ve paid, we’ll refund you in full.

Please check your order and delivery details before you pay. We may limit the quantity of a product per order.

Payment

Payments are taken by Stripe, on a checkout page that Stripe hosts. Your card details go to Stripe. They never reach us, and we don’t store them. Stripe shows you the payment methods available when you check out.

Your payment is taken when you place your order. Any refund goes back to the payment method you used. Stripe’s own privacy policy explains how it handles your information.

Shipping, returns and refunds

We ship within Australia only. Delivery, tracking, returns and refunds are explained on our shipping and returns page, which forms part of these terms.

Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law

Our goods come with guarantees that can’t be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You’re entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You’re also entitled to have the goods fixed or replaced if they aren’t of acceptable quality and the failure isn’t a major failure.

These rights apply whether or not a product has been opened. Nothing in these terms, or on our shipping and returns page, limits them.

Using the products

VELLUM products are cosmetics for external use only. Please:

• Read the directions and cautions on the pack before you use a product.
• We suggest a patch test first, especially if you have sensitive skin or known allergies. Put a small amount on a small area of skin away from your tattoo, and wait 24 hours.
• Check the ingredient list for anything you know you react to.
• Follow your tattoo artist’s instructions, especially in the first days after your session. Their advice comes first.
• Stop using a product if irritation occurs.
• Keep products out of reach of children. Store them below 25°C and away from direct sunlight.

VELLUM products aren’t medicines, and they don’t replace advice from your tattoo artist or your doctor.

Liability

Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can’t be excluded.

Subject to that, and only as far as the law allows, we’re not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for delays and losses caused by events outside our reasonable control, such as carrier delays or severe weather.

Intellectual property

The VELLUM name, the wordmark, and the text, photos and design on vellum.au belong to us or are used with permission. You’re welcome to view the site, share links to it and print a page for your own use. Please don’t copy or reuse our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.

Privacy

We handle your personal information as set out in our privacy policy.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State], Australia. You and we agree to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [State] and the Commonwealth of Australia.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version on this page when you place your order is the one that applies to that order.
